Study Objective

  • Our team is attempting to identify potential effective treatments for testicular pain.

  • The objective of the current study is to evaluate whether one of four, non-invasive treatment options improves symptoms among men who have chronic testicular pain. 

  • To accomplish this objective, 40 men will be randomized into one of four treatment groups.

Study Details

  • Men wishing to participate will be randomly assigned to one of four different treatment groups. 

  • Each group will receive a non-invasive, non-medication treatment.  All treatments are currently available over the counter.  

  • The treatment will be performed at home for 15 minutes twice daily for 1 month.

  • Survey questionnaires will be given at the beginning and at 2, 4, and 6 weeks after starting treatment.

Who May Participate

  • A total of 40 men will be enrolled.

  • Must have testicular pain in one or both testicles for at least 6 months before enrollment.

Finances and Remuneration

  • Participants will be given $150 in divided payments for successful study enrollment and completion ($25 for completing the baseline questionnaire, $100 for completing the 2-, and 4-week questionnaires, and $25 for completing the 6-week questionnaire).

  • All treatments will be provided at no charge and will be shipped to the study participant to be performed at home.
